Alaine was raised in Osoyoos, B.C. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees from the University of Calgary. Alaine was called to the B.C. bar in 1997 and practiced in the West Kelowna and Kelowna area for a number of years. Alaine then spent 2 years working for a national accounting firm where she completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in Depth Tax Course.
Alaine’s practice is focused on the areas of tax law, business law, estate planning and real estate law. Her practice includes the incorporation of companies and societies, corporate reorganizations, the purchase and sale of businesses, as well as tax planning for individuals and companies.
Since moving to Kelowna in 1996 Alaine has been very active in the community. She has served as a Director for the Westbank and District Chamber of Commerce as well as being a member of the Regional Advisory Committee for Treaty Negotiation. Alaine has also been a frequent presenter on topics relating to business law, tax and estate planning for various businesses and organizations.
When out of the office Alaine enjoys spending time with her young family and many pets.
