What is personal injury?

Personal injury law is an exceedingly complex form of law. It involves defining not only the most obvious health effects of your injury, but the effects on your family, your relationships, your job and income, and your emotions -- the qualities that make your life whole. These effects are often complex and unclear, and difficult to define in a legal sense.

Life-altering injuries, health problems, even accidental death can happen in a number of places: automobile and workplace accidents, on unsafe premises, in sports and leisure and during medical procedures.
