How long will it take?

Your case will take as much time as it takes for your body to heal. This waiting period is very important. You need to heal to the greatest degree possible before an assessment can be made about the long-term effects of the injury on your health and life. Most injuries require a recovery period of twelve months to two years. Head injuries can take more time, typically at least two years. Once you have stabilized, it will take about 12 to 15 months (and sometimes longer) to get into court (if the case is not resolved by a mediation or out-of-court settlement).
