Marvin received his LLB from the University of Victoria in 1991.  Prior to receiving his law degree, Marvin also received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1983 and spent many years working in the Alberta oil and gas industry.  He grew up in Manitoba and is of Aboriginal descent.

Marvin has lived in the Okanagan since 1992 and practices in general litigation with an emphasis on personal injury.
